Kicking Off
2026
We've chosen Friday January 16th 2026 as our openening evening for the first event of the year. This should give us a week or two to get back into the flow of things post-christmas for those that celebrate it.
A new year, brings new goals. And this evening will be the PERFECT start to this tradition. But this time, you can set your goals, and build a clear roadmap for how you're going to achieve them by sharing them with other founders around you.
Dress Code
The evening follows a traditional 'Black Tie' dress code.
Black Tie
Black Tie is our preferred option for the evening. While there are a few 'customisations' you can do, it tends to stick to the same theme.
What to Wear:
Jacket / Suit: Classic 'Tuxedo' typically black wool tuxedo or dinner suit with satin peak lapels. Midnight blue or velvet jackets are also acceptable for evening events.
Trousers: Should match the jacket, often with a satin stripe down the outside seam.
Shirt: White evening shirt with a Marcella (piqué) bib front, turn-down collar, and French cuffs for cufflinks. A plain white shirt is acceptable but less formal as shown in this photo.
Bow Tie: Black, typically silk, hand-tied or pre-tied.
Cummerbund: Optional but recommended for a clean, traditional look as shown here. Worn with pleats facing up.
Shoes: Black patent leather shoes (Derby or Oxford). Velvet slippers can work but are less practical, but the choice is yours.
Accessories: We tend to recommend keeping minimal. Wear a dress watch as shown here, cufflinks, or a plain white pocket square. Dress studs on the shirt are traditional but also optional.
Avoid: Casual clothing (jeans, T-shirts, trainers), patterned or light-coloured suits, and white bow ties (reserved for white tie).
Strictly Prohibited
✗ Trainers or casual footwear of any kind
✗ Colored or black collared shirts
✗ Jeans or casual trousers
✗ T-shirts or casual tops

Timings
We are still waiting to finalise the exact timings of the evening, so it is possible these timings change.
We have the Private Dining room booked from 6pm - 11pm.
Please arrive promptly at 6pm, there will be time for some light socialising and networking, with a welcome drink provided, before dinner is served promptly at 7pm.
This is a sit-down three course meal, closer to the date you will be asked your meal preferences and a menu will be provided. You will also be able to select your choice of red or white wine.
We have been asked by the staff to vacate the Private Dining room at 11pm latest so they can clear it all away.
Depending on the numbers, it is likely we will then move onward to another bar/cigar lounge/casino after the dinner. All costs associated to the second part of the evening will NOT be included in the price of the dinner ticket.
Seating Arrangements
There will be a set seating plan, with name-places provided so you know where you're sitting. Please don't swap these around, as we've carefully planned them based on your responses to the booking form.
You will be asked what problem you're facing in your business right now, we do this to try and best match you with someone we think can help solve this problem for you.
A Message From
The Founder
Dear Guest,
England gets a bad rep, high taxes, crime, poor government...the list goes on. But for each of us, we've all found a reason to stay. Whether it's business, friends, family or a desire to fix what we have.
This evening has been in the works for the last two years. I moved to London 4 years ago, and I imagine like many of us, I never had the outlet to discuss business. Everytime I needed guidance, it was behind a $5,000 paywall.
Each one of you that choose to attend this event, were invaluable to my development as a business owner, and I hope I have had even a tenth of the same effect on you, as you have on me.
This event is my attempt to epitomise true, authentic English culture. Many of you have joked in the past about my 'secret' Black Tie events I frequent on a regular, well this is your turn to join me.
This will be an event where we can all come together, help each other grow. And have a great time doing it.
I would love to see you there, after all...it's a tax write off!
- Matt
